All About Diamonds
Diamonds are one of the most preferred and sought-after gemstones in the world. They have been used in jewelry and in trade as precious assets since ancient times; some of the earliest references to diamonds can be traced to India. In the 15th century, diamonds first became known as a symbol of engagement when European royalty started using them as a way of publicly showing their intent to marry. The 60th wedding anniversary is known as the “diamond anniversary” because couples married 60 years have demonstrated strength, longevity and beauty in their marriage. The diamond is also the birthstone for the month of April – signifying love, eternity, strength and everlasting affection. So it’s no surprise that diamonds remain a traditional gemstone in engagement rings and wedding jewelry!
In addition to offering a large selection of loose diamonds of all sizes, we also feel it’s important to offer our clients diamond education. We want you to feel comfortable knowing you are making an informed purchase. We enjoy teaching customers about the different price points, qualities, tips and traditions of diamonds so that you can make a purchase that perfectly suits you needs and budget.

Diamond Evaluation and Cleaning
We urge our customers to have their diamond jewelry, especially rings, evaluated once or twice a year, depending on how they wear their jewelry, to make sure the prongs and tips are secure and the diamond is well-set. It is far better to have your jewelry checked regularly to prevent damage or loss than to wait until a problem has occurred and a stone is lost. We check our own jewelry for our clients and do a light cleaning as a courtesy service. We are also happy to inspect jewelry from other stores and designers.
